Uniformed Unarmed Guards: for
long-term assignment or special events. Our uniformed guards
provide a "command presence" that reduces your
risk and increases the confidence of your associates for
a safer
and more productive
environment. The major responsibility of unarmed guards is
to deter crime and intrusion, to monitor your site for unethical
or criminal activity, to respond appropriately (including
notifying law enforcement agencies as needed), and report
suspicious
or unethical activity. Select an unarmed guard for the more
routine long-term assignment or special event.
Uniformed Armed Guards: for long-term assignment
or special events. Armed guards have many of the same responsibilities
as unarmed guards, but are equipped with weapons in order
to deter and/or respond forcefully to a perceived risk of
a more serious nature, such as a past experience of an attempted,
perpetrated, or threatened crime posing physical harm. We
urge you to consider this guard option carefully and correctly
when and if needed. Please remember that guards can be equipped
with degrees of tools of deterrence and response: sprays,
and/or batons, and/or handguns of varying stopping force
and caliber. Such guards must have proven, certified training
in the kind of weapon to be applied.
(Please note that Pacific National can provide a highly trained specialist
for protecting individuals, executives, and/or celebrities.
We classify this service as Personal
Protection, which
is covered as another service line here.)
Patrol Guards: equipped
with a marked Pacific National vehicle from our mobile fleet. We offer patrols to cover
a much larger area of your site either as an alternative
or supplement to a posted guard. For business/industrial
facilities, a patrol can cover an expansive area and report
suspicious or unethical activity immediately as observed
from a vehicle. For residential areas, patrols are able to
cover the grounds efficiently and monitor, enforce, and report
violations of parking regulations. Please note that we recommend
no more than three patrol visits per 24 hours in order to
pursue a higher quality of presence, monitoring, and reporting
per each visit. Also note that a continual, on-site guard
is the best command presence for a smaller or observable
area.
